Based on the information on this page,
http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/resources/right-to-left-support.aspx

It says that:

"Not/Applicable" means that the control does not have any "hard-coded" strings to localize and everything comes from datasource or properties.

What does this really mean? What about RTL? Should I assume that the Chart component does not offer an RTL support but there is nothing (i.e. no hard coding done) that would prevent it from rendering in an RTL fashion. If so, is there anything that can be  done to make it support RTL (i.e. css tweaks).

Judging from the numerous requests asking for  RTL support in radControls, I am puzzled by the slowness in building a seamless framework to support RTL in *all* controls. In this global economy, not being able to display information in a localized manner would surely have an impact on the bottom line.

The RadChart takes data which you provide it, along with any string that you want to feed it, and renders it as an image. I'm pretty sure that if you are able to write a string in a RTL fashion then you are able to have it display exactly the way you want it on the RadChart. What I believe they're trying to say is that the properties (such as chart title etc.) do not need to be specified as RTL since you can just feed them a string which is RTL, the rest is just a display of data.

Support for RTL does not mean only support for RTL characters... In fact, all controls should be oriented in such a way as to read them right to left. In the case of radChart, the origin (0,0) of the axes must be located on the right of the chart and the x-axis must start from the right and extend to the left.

As a rule of thumb, you need to design your controls as if you are looking in a mirror (there are exceptions but this rule should hold in most cases).

Therefore, it should be mentioned that controls such as radChart should be clearly marked as not supporting RTL.
