I am completely new to the Telerik suite of controls.
I found that I was having a great deal of trouble with configuring toolbars for SpellCheck. I could see that the demo code worked, and that if I used the default set of tools, it worked fine.
But adding my own EditorTool for "SpellCheck" yielded only "The command SpellCheck is not implemented yet", which is obviously not true.
I think the documentation should be amended to make it clear that the tool is now actually "AjaxSpellCheck".

Hi Thomas,
Unfortunately the provided information is not enough for me to determine what the exact reason for the problem is. Could you please open a support ticket and send us your runnable project or a sample one in which the problem can be reproduced, along with a detailed explanation of your scenario? Once we are able to reproduce the problem locally we will do our best to provide a solution.
Best regards,
George

Try this:
<telerik:EditorTool Name="SpellCheck" />
<telerik:EditorTool Name="AjaxSpellCheck" />
You get two spell check buttons, the first yields "not implemented", the second works as intended. I don't think this is a bug, only an internal change for RAD that is not documented properly.
Using this version with VS2008 / IE 7:
<
add path="Telerik.Web.UI.SpellCheckHandler.axd" verb="*" type="Telerik.Web.UI.SpellCheckHandler, Telerik.Web.UI, Version=2008.1.415.35, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=121fae78165ba3d4"
validate="false" />

Hi Tom,
Thank you for the information.
The SpellCheck command is planned to use the RadSpell control, but it is not implemented yet - this is the reason for the observed error. If you do not want to use the AjaxSpellChecker but RadSpell, please, review the following KB article:
Using RadSpell "Prometheus" dialog with RadEditor "Prometheus" as a custom tool
I hope this helps.
Best wishes,

Thank you, makes sense to me.
I think part of my confusion is that I just "arrived" at the Telerik suite of products a week ago, and luckily I picked up the Q1 2008 release, apparently released a few days earlier. Never even looked at the non-Ajax production line. Must be a good product, but the new stuff is fantastic!
