Hi there,

Is the StyleBuilder working correctly? I tried to use it this morning to set a custom TabStrip style for a particular customer but kept running into an issue where the custom colour is not applied as the base colour. Everytime I tried to set the colour, the base colour would just appear as white for all of the TabStrip items.

The colour that i had selected was #DEF7CE (not available from your colour picker) - is this ok?

Although I have been using Firefox to get it working, I have also tried the other major browsers with no luck...

Really hope you can clarify this for us.

Regards

A.

Hello, Ahmed.

The style builder seems to be working on our side -- you can check the attached screenshot. I am using Firefox 11.

However, I could be missing something, so it would be best if you could do a screen capture, say with jing (it's free) and post the link to that screen capture.

Hi Ivan,

Thank you for getting back to me..

I am indeed using Firefox 11, and have also tried in IE9, Chrome & Safari all with no luck.

I have attached in my first post what the outcome of StyleBuilder was when I added my custom Hex color (In FF 11). The colour that i sought was a light green but it always came out with white.

To further prove this, i have attached a snippet from the RGB to Hex converter, could you please try the StyleBuilder with base colour #DEF7CE on Office 2007 TabStrip to see if the outcome comes out as intended? (Light Green)

Thank you

A.

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for the video, but im afraid it still does not resolve our issue :(

I have attached two screenshots showing what happens after I enter the hex color (pt1.png) and then what happens after I click Save (pt2.png).

After I do click save to commit the changes, the selected colour is lost and so if I then switch to the Fine-tune tab, none of my base colours are applied..

Hope you can reproduce that?

FYI: Im using skin Office2007

Hello, Ahmed.

That's indeed a very nasty bug you found there. I can't honestly say that I completely understand how it's happening, but never the less I've logged it for further investigation.

By the way, if you do not need the #DEF7CE colour exactly, you could achieve something similar with the shift colours tab and use the hue and saturation slides.

For that bug report, I have awarded you some Telerik points, which you can see updated in your account profile.

All the best,

Hi Ivan,

Good to know I wasnt the only one :)

I guess I will play around until I get a similar colour, although im hoping that you can let me know if/once this error gets resolved.

Many thanks for your time
