Hello

We are using the telerik control "RadNav Editior" within an web based database application. We observed a strange behaviour when using the hyperlink function of the editor. When a hyperlink is set in a text it often happens that the hyperlink tag influences new added text especially when a special character as a hashtag is added, or the text has been formatted by a different background color. This can be shown, when the control view is changed to the "HTML" view and then back to "Design" view. Suddenly the whole text, starting from the last hyperlink, is either completely missing or the whole text below is shown as a hyperlink, because the </a> tag is vanished.

I attached screenshots in two .png files with an example what happens. Unfortunately the software developer of the database application hasn't a solution to fix this problem, but ensured us that he've used the newest telerik controls for his application.

Have you ever seen such a behaviour before, or did any software developer inform you about a similar case?

We would be much interested in a solution, because this behaviour is annoying for our users. I'm also only a key user and administrator of our application and no software developer, but I stay in a close contact with the software developer and could forward any answer to him.

Thank you in advance for your effort. I'm really looking forward to hear from you.

With best regards

Harald Hassler

Hello,

Can you please disable the ConvertToXhtml filter or even all filters of RadEditor and test the reported scenario once again? You can see how to do that in the following demo and article:
http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/builtincontentfilters/defaultcs.aspx and
http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/editor/managing-content/content-filters.

By the way, are you able to reproduce the issue in the live demo?

Regards,
Rumen
