Is there a particular reason the Grid StatusBar is integrated with the Pager? While, this looks pretty good in most skins, it certainly makes providing custom content in the status bar much more difficult. Add to that the fact that you have to enable paging, and it pretty much means that providing custom content in the status bar is out of the question. This is not the end of the world, but I wonder if there was a particular reason for developing things this way. I would think a grid "Status bar" would behave in a similar fashion to a window status bar and this was the case in previous versions, where one could set the "Ready" text and "Loading" text. Anyhow, like I said the new implementaiton looks pretty good (though it is invisible in grids that don't implement paging), but is there any plan to seperating the two at some point in the future?

Hello Albert,

The statusbar was integrated with the pager mainly to save space and simplify the control's bottom layout - the two words used in that table row did not justify its existence. Moreover, an AJAX loading panel is a lot better activity indicator, isn't that so?
