Hello all:

I am implementing custom commands for docks, and I want to create an appropriate icon for the commands.  I got this to work fine (after adding the !important tag), but I'm looking for a way to tie this into the skins.

It seems like my only options are

(1) Add code that reads "If skin='Y' then newcommand.cssclass='X'".
(2) Create custom skins (altering the DockCommandSprites.gif to include the additional images, for example)

If these are my only options, Would it be possible to alter your themes to add more icons for some common functions that we could select when adding new commands?

Thank you.

Hi Barry,

We shall put your request to a consideration, however it is hard to decide which would be the common commands for control as RadDock. Could you, please suggest some?

All the best,

I agree that coming up with a good list could be difficult.

I'm going to be implementing Refresh and Help functions for each gadget in a portal using RadDock, so those are top on my list.

Others I could see using might be "Share", "Maximize" (to have the dock/gadget go full screen), "Restore" (to return from full screen), "Discuss/Comment" (to interact with the content by chatting or leaving a comment), "Rate" (to rate/rank the content), "Add" (like add this person/item to my favorites).

That's all I can think of so far.  As I said, the first two are what I truly need.  The rest are things that I could see needing down the road as I move forward with my current projects.  I chose these rather than attempting to just think of random things.

Thank you.

Hello Barry,

Thank you for this - it really makes sense. I will forward your message to our UX team, and if they shall put your suggestion into a serious consideration. If they are okay with this, the implementation will be the same as the implementation of the "official" commands of RadDock.
