Hi everybody!

I've searched a bit but so far wasn't able to determine if Radcontrols for SharePoint 2010 will be supported on SharePoint Online.
I tried to upload the solution but it dosen't comply with the sandbox mechanism.

Does someone know if it will be supported in a near future?

thanks a lot!

Stéphan.

Hi Stéphan,

Unfortunately, no ajax-enabled controls work under the Sandbox restrictions of SharePoint and neither do the Telerik controls. We have an official confirmation of Microsoft that they do not support ajax-enabled controls under a Sandbox SP environment.

This is HUGELY disappointing but there's nothing you all can do.  Thanks Microsoft!

It would be really nice if we could get a glimpse of Telerik's plans in the Office 365/SharePoint Online world.  Are there any plans to build compatible components for Office 365 Sandboxed Solutions?  While I understand the issues with taking the full trust capabilities of the existing product and making them work in the Sandboxed world, it is possible to build similar functionality, or at least a subset.  Is it likely that some of the more client side heavy products (such as Silverlight or javascript/html5) can be supported under SharePoint Online?

Hello,

Indeed, it seems that there is no problem for controls developed on Silverlight or using HTML5 to be included in the Sandbox solutions for SharePoint Online. I will forward your suggestion to our Silverlight team so they consider adding our SharePoint Chart. As to the rest of the Web Parts we provided, I am afraid we will not be able to change them so they work for SharePoint Online. However we are eager to see how SharePoint 2012 goes and what we can do for you in this direction.
