Hi,

We had MCMS before and used the Rad Editor for MCMS, but now we have installed MOSS and want to use Rad Editor for that. I have installed it and used the <radE:RadHtmlField .... it works fine in the pages.

My question is how I can set different toolsfile for these? We want different "button settings" in different fields.

Best Regards
Maria

Hi Maria,

Currently, you cannot set a different tools or config file for the editor in MOSS. We will provide this feature in the next RadEditor for MOSS release, but this will apply only to the WCM field editor. The Web Part and list editors will still only use the default tools and config files.

All the best,

Hi Peter,

We plan to release a new version next week that will provide several bugfixes and will have the option to use multiple configuration files.

Has the new version been released yet (with the option to use multiple configuration files), and if so what is the new version called?

Hello Maria,

The new version will be released tomorrow. You will be able to download it from the editor downloads page on our site.

Hi,

Sorry to bring this up again. I have downloaded the trial version Rad Editor for asp.net premium version. But I cannot find out where to set the different toolsfile. I have used
<radE:RadHtmlField runtat="server" id="myID" FieldName="myField"></radE:RadHtmlField> in my aspx page.
How do I set a toolsfile?

Regards Maria

Hello Maria,

Look in the RadEditor for MOSS help file. If you have the latest version (4.3.1), then there should be a topic "Setting ConfigFile and ToolsFile properties for the WCM field" in the How-to section. You can set them in the Tag Properties window, or directly in the <radE:RadHtmlField ... tag.

Hi,

The latest version wasn't installed correctly (still had the old one, no wonder I couldn't find the property). Now it works like a charm. Thank you for your support!

/Maria
