[Solved] Script manager not combining scripts for editor dialogs

I am trying out the latest trial version of the editor and just testing out the recommended use of script manager to combine the embeded script files which seems to work well for the editors main page where only 8 requests are made but as soon as you open for example the image manager the number of requests jumps to around 80 which is not good.

I setup a blank test project with just the script manager and the editor with the script manager setting EnableScriptCombine= true

Is this a known limitation or a bug?

I really need clarification on this whether or not its a bug or something that I am doing wrong or just something that you would like to sweep under the carpet and ignore :)

Either way it will effect our purchasing decision

Hi Michael,

This is a known limitation. The RadWindow based dialogs of RadEditor display their contents in IFRAME. This IFRAME is another page different from the page where the editor resides and this page uses another script manager.

Is this something that will be changed in a future release? If so any idea of when it would be implemented?

Hi Michael,

This feature is logged for the next RadControls release (Q1 2010). The editor will detect if it is placed on a page with RadScriptManager/RadStyleSheetManager and use them in the dialogs as well.
