I think its really nice that the RadWindow can be used as a div-like control container.  This works nice when there is just one or two windows on the webpage.  However, I need to create about 4 "dashboards" on my webpage.  With the RadWindow I need to end the content templates to place controls onto the window.  With 4 windows on the page tings do nto lineup correctly.  I also have to expand the template editor on all 4 windows to see what the whole page looks like.

Are there any guidlines to using the RadWindow in my scenarion or should I be using a different apporach??

Thanks in advance!

Hi Adam,

To be able to help we need to have a better view over your exact setup and logic. Please open a support ticket and send us a small sample project where the problem could be reproduced. We will check it and do our best to help.

It really is not a problem with your control. Its more of a design/useability question.

What I am looking for is just some sort of container panel.   It would have a header area that I can put some text and have it automatically formatted by your skins.  I guess I can use a dive within a div to acheive this, but felt your window control might be easiers.  What makes the layout difficult with the RadWindow is that I cannot place elements directly into the control.  I need to open the template editor first.

I guess my question is, does the RadWindow have the ability to somehow directly accept control withour having to open the template editor.  That way is I have 2 RadWIndows on the screen I cann accuratley see what my page would look like.

Or maybe you have another control that can acheive the same thing.

Thanks

Hi Adam,

From Q3 2009 (released last week) RadWindow can be used as a control container. We also have RadDock that is designed especially for such cases.

Kind regards,
