We are using the Radtoolbar for our main menu at the top of the browser window.
After the last toolbar button we would like the remaining area to have scrolling news inside a radTicker control.
I have tried creating a radticker object, populating with text, then adding to the controls collection of a radtoolbarButton but this does not work.
how do i achieve what i want?
btw - we also tried to use a basic marquee element but this created all sorts of issues like a big wide button on the toolbar that was as wide as the text

Can you try calling the DataBind() method of the toolbar in Page_Load event?
If it does not help - please paste here a sample code which we will test locally.

I ended up moving the ticker out of the toolbar because the toolbar always made the template button as big as the text in the ticker, which did not look right.
that wasnt the issue though - the issue was that i didnt have the autoStart property set.
the documentation for the radTicker is almost non existent and is only referenced once from within the radRotator documentation.
surely it should have its own node under the controls section in the help manual??
