Hello,
The height of the appointments in RadScheduler does not depend on the databinding. It depends on the RowHeight property and on the CSS property set. You can also customize the month view to show auto height of the appointments as it is described in this KB article.
If you have an appointment from 8-9 and 9-10 unfortunately there is no way to drop another one between them. In MonthView the appointments are always arranged according to the default or the custom implementation of the appointmentcomparer of RadScheduler.
