we want to set the Height or Width of a RadPane by using CSS instead of the Height or Width Attribute of the control.
Is this possible without loosing the functionality of filling the full page ?

Alex

Hello Alexander,
We strongly recommend not to set size of RadSplitter and its child controls in this manner because this might reflect later calculations and initializing size. I also believe that you can get teh desired result by configuring teh splitter through its properties and withpout the need of setting height through CSS.
This being said, I suggest to provide more details about the exact setup, the actual and the desired result and sone code and I will help you to achieve the desired layout.
for example our radsplitter contains three rad Panes, arranged horizontaly.
The first Pane should be the HeaderPane the second should be the MainPane / main area of the Page and the 3rd Pane should be the footer of the page.
Setting the Heigh property of the RadPane works fine.
But, our idea is that the designer can modify the layout by providing a new stylesheet file, which i.e. sets another size of thhe header, so logos fit in the header.
As you allready said, i recognized that this affects later calculations.
So i guess that it is not possible to change the size of the RadPanes by Stylesheet without loosing calculations.
I expected that maybe it is possible, that the RadPane takes his initial size from stylesheet, before it starts calculating the other sizes.
regards,
Alex

Hello Alexander,
As I already explained you cannot set the size of Radpanes and RadSplitter through CSS. However, you can set size to the particular RadPanes, e.g the header, both on the client and on the server. This means that what we can suggest is to change your logic in manner to set the size through the API.
