RadMenu with Templates using DataSource

Is it possible to use RadMenu Templates together with a DataSource?

The example uses hard-coded items for the menu.

Can someone provide an example of how to do this, if so?

I'm happy to hear about it if there is another forum post that addresses this, but I haven't found one yet.
