When upgrading from Telerik 2009.1.527.35 to 2009.2.826.35 we got a couple of stylistic issues with our Skins (as we always do -- your backwards compatibility is pretty lousy for custom skins) but we managed to fix those. However, a more grave problem became evident, and it's not related to our skins, because the problem occurs even when using your built-in skins. Our RadGrids went from looking like in the before.png attachment to looking like in the after.png attachment. I've been fighting with this issue all day, and I can't for the life of me understand why this happens. And again, it also happens in the Telerik built-in skins.

Please help.

Hi Alexander,

Such empty spaces between columns can occur in IE8, depending on the RadGrid configuration and page layout. It looks like a browser issue and so far we have not discovered a good and universal solution, apart from setting explicit widths to all columns. I am surprised that the problem has been triggered by a RadControls upgrade. Can you provide a sample page for us to inspect?

Kind regards,
