Hi,

I was using RADGrid Q3 2007 release, in that the following highlighted properties were available:

<radG:RadGrid ID="rgMemberResult" BackColor="white" runat="server" AllowPaging="true" AutoGenerateColumns="false"
EnableAJAX="true" EnableAJAXLoadingTemplate="true" LoadingTemplateTransparency="20"
        EnableOutsideScripts="true"
<ClientSettings ApplyStylesOnClient="true">
</radG:RadGrid>

When i upgraded the control to Q2 2009 release, the above specified properties were not supported. Seems to be that they are obsolete. Please let me know, whether any alternate properties available or by default it does support those properties?

Thanks
Viswa

Hello Viswanathan,

The AJAX-related RadGrid properties are no longer available in RadGrid for ASP.NET AJAX, because its native AJAX functionality has been removed. Please use a separate RadAjaxManager / RadAjaxPanel control and a RadAjaxLoadingPanel.

As for the ApplyStylesOnClient property - it existed in order to workaround certain issues and is no longer needed in the new RadGrid. You don't need a replacement for this property.

Thanks for the reply. I've another question for you.

Please let me know, Is it possible to upgrade our project to support higher version of telerik controls?

Thanks

Hello Viswanathan,

Upgrading is always possible, but depending on your controls' configuration, API usage, etc. you may need to make some adjustments. Generally, when upgrading from the old ASP.NET controls to the new ASP.NET AJAX controls, one should consult our documentation, e.g.:

RadGrid migration

RadMenu migration

etc.
