RadGrid performance regarding column widths

I am not sure if this is expected or not. With the RadGrid, when I define a HeaderStyle Width for each GridBoundColumn, the grid generates a lot quicker than when I do not set a width for each column.

Hi Joseph,

This isn't something that has been reported or should be expected. Although, it could be derived from a number of different settings. For example, custom styling might impede with the grid generation.

With that said, I would be happy to review the grid. Are you able to attach the Markup, Code-Behind, any Scripts and Data Source(s)? Note that for the data sources, see the Import and Export Database as SQL Scripts documentation.

Alternatively, I can convert this thread to a support ticket which will allow me to investigate your code with confidentiality.
