RadGrid Excel Copy and Paste

Hi, I am trying to implement the Copy and paste feature in radgrid. Copy from Excel and paste to RadGrid.

I am using one of the example which shows the copy and paste using the Clipboard. But i am not able to make it work fully.

Do you have any latest example for this? Is there any built in feature with the current version of the radgrid?

Hello Ravi,

Unfortunately, this feature is not available at present out-of-the-box. This makes a nice feature suggestion, however, and I will pass it along to our developers, for further consideration. If any other questions arise, do let us know.

Unfortunately the copy/paste in radgrid is still not available. However, we are working on a code library project where we are planning to show how you can implement this functionality. We will let you know once the project is ready.

This functionality is still not available due to a slight change in our priorities. I am happy to inform you that we are working hard on a new SpreadSheet control, that will be part of Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX, MVC and Kendo suite. This fully functional spread, will support copy and paste as well as many other features such as:
- Formulas and calculations
- Excel Import/Export for the server ASP.NET AJAX/MVC components
- JSON Import/Client Export to Excel for the Kendo UI widget
- Intuitive Excel/Google spread-like Navigation and Editing
- Cell Formatting
- Sorting and Filtering
- and many other …

We plan to release an early Preview version suitable for testing for the upcoming Q3 2015, which will be out in the end of September. If you are interested in taking part of the testing program, just let me know and we will notify you when it begin.

The Spreadsheet control is already available in Q3 2015 release. You can download the latest version from your account and test the new control. A live example and help articles are available in the following links:

Hi Atul,

Currently copying content from excel is available only in RadSpreadSheet, but not in RadGrid. You can test this functionality in the Overview demo of the Spreadsheet:
