I was able to get the RadFileExplorer to work well on a page, but now we need to get it into a popup window. This fails wne loading the page on which the popup window is defined. If I remove the RadFileExplorer control from the popup window, the rest of the controls load.

Hello John,
Take a look at the following KB article which explains about the similar error.
Cannot unregister UpdatePanel with ID 'UpdatePanelID' since it was not registered with the ScriptManager error
Thanks,
Princy.

I tried placint a RadAjaxManagerProxy in every Place I can imagine. In the page, wrappint the user control within the window definition, wrapping the FileExplorer within the user control. All of them fail with the same error message.

Side note: How do I remove formatting from a post? It always seems to put any edit into a block - even if it is the entire post.

Hi Johhn,
Could you please provide more detailed information regarding the specific error? Is it a server-side error, or a JavaScript error pop-ups? Could you please provide the exact error message?
On a side note, are you trying to achieve something like the following live demo:
FileExplorer / File Selector Dialog
Kind regards,
Dobromir
