I have been trying to install full featured RadEditorMOSS 5.6 trial version. I followed all the instructions to install Ajax extensions, changing web.config file and installing the solution. The solution was successfully installed. However, I am not able to deploy the solution to a site successfully. I followed the instructions to deploy both from Central Admin as well as stsadm command. The timer job successfully created. I do not see the feature added to the site. When I go to Solution Properties page, Deployment Status shows as Error. No other information. I did all my installation from front end server. I have 3 server environment, 1 front end, 1 index server and 1 sql server. Am I missing something? I checked Windows Sharepoint Administration service and it is running. I also tried resetting IIS after installing the solution. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello subrahmanyam,
If you are trying to upgrade from previous versions of RadEditro for MOSS, make sure that you uninstall all the previously deployed solutions http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/uninstalling-radeditor.html. Then try deploying the new wsp solution.

Also review the following articles.
Upgrade Instructions from version 4.x to version 5.x
Upgrading to a newer version of RadEditor for MOSS

I am doing first time installation. I successfully installed and deployed on a different test server. The difference between two environments are:
The server where I successfully installed - 2 server server environment, web front end and index server on the same machine. It has SharePoint SP2 applied with .net 3.5 framework.
The server where I am having problems - 3 server environment, web front, index and sql servers. It has SharePont SP1 and .net 3.5 framework.
Any issues with SP1?

Hi subrahmanyam,
There have been no issues regarding the SP1 or SP2 of MOSS and RadEditor for MOSS reported yet. Could you provide me the web.config file of your site. Also send me the ConfigFile.xml and ToolsFile.xml files, which are located in the /Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/web server extensions/wpresources/RadEditorSharePoint/5.x.x.0__1f131a624888eeed/Resources/ folder for RadEditor for MOSS 5.x and in the /Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/web server extensions/wpresources/RadEditorSharePoint/4.x.x.x__1f131a624888eeed/RadControls/Editor for the Lite version.

Greetings,

Thanks Stanimir for looking at my problem. How do you want me to send the files to you?

Hi subrahmanyam kunala,
I will need the web.config file of your MOSS site. You can paste its content in the forum thread by using the Format Code Block tool of the editor, or use the Attach your files (optional) functionality to attach an archive with the requested files.

Sincerely yours,
