[Solved] RAD Self-referencing hierarchy grid - Need help

HI guys,

I was using this sample to build a small prototype on a self referencing hireachical grid

It works fine, the grid shows nested items.
My grid has these diferences then from the sample.

1) I have put the expand-collapse button on a GridButtonColumn
2) I am using an XML file to load the data into the grid
3) I have only one level children


The problem I am having is these
1) The child item records do not shift properly, that is the child item shows up in the next level without ample spacing up, and does not give the user an impression that it is a nested item (Please see attached screen shot)

2) I want to filter out the child items when I am showing the grid initially and only show the root items (I am using an xml file as my datsource)


Can some one help me on this,

Hello Nairooz,

Can you, please, post some sample code we can examine. The layout of the nested table seems to be broken because the first cell of the nested table's parent row has been hidden. Also, to clarify things, your thread info indicates you are using 2009.Q2.826 version of RadControls, while the screenshot shows a RadGrid that is an earlier version than that.

Sorry, I was not able to get aback to you, I was able to fix this issue, by using another demo on the telarick site.
