Hi,
We are using RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX Q2 2013 SP1.
We have some important issue in Rad editor control with spell checker Implementation.
Currently we have found that built in spell checker working only with Firefox, Chrome. etc., But not in IE versions.
In IE we have to include the Ajax spellchecker icon, once we click that, then only spell checker is functioning in IE.
But we want ajax spell checker functionality automatically works in IE versions 7, 8 & 9, without clicking on spell checker icon.
Kindly check the 2 attached screen shots. We want the Firefox functionality in IE 7,8 & 9. Kindly solve this issue as soon as possible.
Thank you.

Hello,
The automatic spellchecker displayed in the FIREFOX.jpg screenshot is actually the browser's one, which is not part of the Telerik's code. This spellchecker is offered by all modern browsers including IE10. All earlier versions of IE do not offer built-in spellchecking engine and the only option here is to use the RadEditor's spellchecker, which can be enabled only by clicking on the respective toolbar button.
Best regards,
Rumen

Hi,
We are building our website only for IE 7, 8, 9.
We dont want to use the spell checker offered by Browsers. We want this to be part of the UI control.
Also, it is mandatory that the spell checker provide the suggestions in the right click (context menu strip), instead of showing it in the new pop up window.
Please let me know the fix for this ASAP.

Hi Selva,
As my colleague Rumen already explained - all modern browsers offer an inline spellchecker which makes one of our own redundant. This is why there are no plans for such a control or functionality at present.

Hi,
We want to build some extra functionalities over the spell checker. That's why i was looking for spell checker control rather than inline spell checker.
Anyhow, can you let us know on how to enable the inline spell checker for ie 7, 8 and 9.
So that, we can test it whether it has all the functionalities build-in already which we are looking for.

Hi,
Old IE versions are the only browsers that do not have inline spellcheckers out of the box, but you can research some add-ons in the Internet to advise your users if you like.
