That was very good news, because I was going to ask you the same question as I intend to label all the medical supply in my vein clinic with QR codes.

If you don't want to wait 3 months for the next release, you can always use a jQuery plugin: http://jeromeetienne.github.com/jquery-qrcode/

Hi Markus,
We will support different types of encoding, error correction level, and text modes (numeric, alpha numeric, kanji). These are the things that are defined strictly by the standards.
It will be up to you to decide what content to set inside the Text property. The Data in the vCard is actually stored in a plain text that is formatted according to the vCard specification. So you will be able to make your own output of vCard to text, and then use the QR generator to encode this output vCard as text.
Similar with the URL. For example in the goqr.me site, if you place the same URL into the URL field or into the Text field, the output QR code will be exactly the same.
Greetings,
Vasil

Dear Vasil
Thanks for the feedback. I just thought it might be easier to use if we get some help from you guys :-)
As you can see my knowledge is almost non existing in this area but the link provided did help me a lot to get QR quick and fast without having to see how an vCard works.
So its more a feature request :-)

Hi Markus,
It could be made as an Code Library, I took a look at the vCard and it does not seems so hard to implement.
Let us first release the QR, and then see what we can do about using it in custom scenarios.
If some in the forum is interested, he/she will be able to get some telerik points when making such library. Wrap or inherit the control inside another with some additional properties will be quite possible.
All the best,
Vasil

I assume the control will generate the codes, but is there a plan to read code from supplied images?
That would be a killer functionality... :)

Hi Kaiven,
I have removed your link, since the product that you ware linking is actually not free, and we do not tolerate advertising other products in our forums. Furthermore the QR code mode of RadBarcode is already ready for use.
