Hi. Would anybody know why I am getting an error when I try to access the property builder for a RadGrid. It did work fine but doesn't work now. I have deleted the old page and tried to start from scratch with a new form (based on a master page). I create the new form, add the RadGrid, use the smart tag to create an sqldatasource and then click "open property builder". I get the visual studio error:
"Error invoking 'Open Property Builder'. Details:
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation."

I have tried to reproduce the issue locally but without success. Would you mind providing some more details about how to replicate the problem? For example:
If you consider it would help further, you can also open a formal support ticket and send me a small sample project. This way I will be able to inspect it carefully and provide you with more to-the-point resolution.

The problem is disappeared. Everything worked fine. Then it stopped working and then without explanation is started working again. Thus I cannot now diagnose the problem further. However for your info I downloaded a trial version of the controls 5 days ago (so they are current version) and visual studio is 2008 version 9.0.30729.1 SP with .net version 3.5 SP1.

I created a new VS2008 website and followed your feedback in order to replicate the problem. My project still ran as expected and the property builder did not cause any errors. I am afraid that I can not be much of a help unless I have a demo project that I can inspect locally.
