Hello,

I am using RadEditor for MOSS v. 5.7.2.0 to edit wiki pages in MOSS 2007 SP2.

When I create a link to a wiki page, which does not yet exist in the wiki library, using the double square breakets [[new wiki page name]] and the page name contains a german umlaut letter (ä, ö and ü) for e.g. [[Äbc]], the link in display mode creates a page with name "bc" instead of "Äbc", which is expected. The problem does not occur, when using the build-in SharePoint RichTextEditor.

Hi Dimitar,

Could you provide us with some additional information. In what scenario are you using the editor when you are creating the link? Is it WCM, web part or list (list, wiki, blog...)? Are you using the default MOSSLinkManager tool or the provided by Telerik LinkManager dialog? Also could you provide us with sample URL address, which you are trying to insert in the editor?

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Hello,

I am using RadEditor to edit the content of wiki pages in a wiki library.
When I open a wiki page in edit mode, I don't use MOSSLinkManager or any other link tool from the RadEditor toolbar to create the link, since the page that I would like to link does not jet exist. Instead I use the standard wiki library functionality to create a link by typing a page name inside two square breakets "[[page to link]]". The wiki library then transforms this to a normal link in the display mode of the wiki page. If a page called "page to link" in my example does not yet exist in the same wiki library, it transforms "[[page to link]]" into a link to CreateWebPage.aspx and so automatically suggests to create a new wiki page called "page to link". This functionality to automatically link and create new wiki pages is what I need.

This normally works if the page name inside the two square breakets does not contain german umlaut letters (ä, ö or ü).
For example if I edit a wiki page and type [[Äbc]], then save the changes and open the edit mode once again the link was transformed into [[bc|Äbc]] (in HTML view it shows as [[bc|Äbc]]) and in display mode the link opens the CreateWebPage.aspx and suggests to create a new wiki page called "bc" instead of "Äbc".

One workaround that I found is to go to the HTML view and modify "[[bc|Äbc]]" to "[[Äbc]]".

The problem disappers, if the feature "RadEditor to edit List Items" is deactivated.

Thank you in advance!

Hello Dimitar,

Check if adding the following line in the respective ConfigFile.xml and ListConfigFile.xml (for list, wiki, blog ...) will solve the issue. These files are located in the /Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/web server extensions/wpresources/RadEditorSharePoint/5.x.x.0__1f131a624888eeed/Resources/ folder.
<property name="ContentFilters">RemoveScripts,MakeUrlsAbsolute,FixUlBoldItalic,FixEnclosingP,IECleanAnchors,MozEmStrong,ConvertFontToSpan,ConvertToXhtml,IndentHTMLContent</property>
