We're having a problem accessing context and toolbar menus in the Editor using Firefox when the browser page has been scrolled. No problem with IE.

I'll include a link to a short video demonstrating the problem. You'll see that once the browser has been scrolled, the context and toolbar menus appear in different positions, and clicking an item on the menu has no effect; the menu disappears on mousedown. Once the browser page is scrolled back to the default position, the menus become functional again.

The problem seems to have manifest after upgrading the site to .NET 4.0.

The version of Telerik.Web.UI.dll is 2009.2.701.20. I realize this is not the current version of the editor and upgrading is in our near future, however, this problem has to be resolved immediately. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Carl Lin,

Telerik.Web.UI.dll is 2009.2.701.20 is very old and released before the appearance of Firefox 4 and 5 as well as .NET 4.0. If you want support for .NET 4.0 and the latest versions of Firefox 4+, you should consider migrating to the latest Q2 2011 (v2011.2.712) release.

If the problem is reproducible with the latest build, please isolate it in a simple working project and send it for examination via a support ticket.

Best regards,

Hi, we've upgraded to the latest version of the Editor (2011.3.1115.40)

We still see this problem with the latest version of the Editor -- Firefox only.

A video demonstration of the problem is here: http://screencast.com/t/yXOdmcUPkTUf

We have a very large project; isolating the problem in a small project will be difficult, not to mention time-consuming. Can you help narrow down the problem for us? Overcoming this problem is the only reason we upgraded to the latest version of the editor.

As mentioned previously, the problem occurred immediately after upgrading the site to .NET 4.0

Hello,

Could you please check whether you have not set the ContentAreaMode property to "Div"? I am aware of the reported problem only in DIV content area mode but not when the content area is rendered as an iframe.

For your convenience I have attached my test project here and a video demonstrating my test: http://screencast.com/t/lPzs1oCA.
Could you please modify the project so that the problem is reproducible in iframe mode and send it for examination? As to the DIV mode problem, it is logged for fixing in our bug tracking system with medium priority.

Greetings,
