I've installed the latest hotfix, 2009.1.527.35, which has paging in the file browser window in the Document Manager. This is very nice, and it has improved performance a lot - we have lots (yes too many) files uploaded.

But now there is a problem, when the uploaded file is not on the currently displayed page. What happens is that the properties fields on the right do not appear, and the file name and path is not filled in the content area. We end up with a link like so:
<href="http://">test</a>

As a workaround, I've set up a new directory for uploads, so the uploaded file will appear on the first page. Also, I have told users that if the properties window doesn't appear, they have to page to the uploaded document.

Can this behaviour be adapted please? For me the Document Manager should position itself on the page containing the uploaded document, so that the properties are filled in.

Thanks, Steve

Hello Steve,

I think your problem was caused by a bug in the Document Manager dialog - the insert button worked regardless of whether you have a file selected or not. We have fixed this bug so now nothing will happen if the user clicks "insert" after uploading a file and the file is not present in the current page of the document manager.

This fix will be included in the next RadControls build. We will also try to fix your other issue - when you upload a file, which happens to be on a different page, the dialog does not select this file automatically.

Best wishes,
