I use a somewhat modified (by me) RAD Editor wrapper for community server. When I try to paste in Firefox, I get a message "Please press Ctrl+V to Paste". When I press Ctrl+V I still get the same message. The only way to get Ctrl+V to work is to explicitly assign the paste a different shortcut, but then that shortcut appears in the tool tip and would confuse the userl. Same withCtrl+X to cut. Oddly enough, the sample at http://mono.telerik.com/Editor/Examples/Default/DefaultCS.aspx does not have this problem. It still says  "Please press Ctrl+V to Paste" if I use the toolbar button, but Ctrl+V works fine.

I tried with the latest version of RAD Editor to no avail. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Thanks,
Boris Zakharin

Hi Boris,

There was such a problem introduced in the Q1 2009 SP1 release, and a subsequent SP1 release was made to correct the issue 3 days after the "broken" SP1 release.

Hence, I believe you are one of the people that downloaded and used this "broken" SP.

"I tried with the latest version of RAD Editor to no avail. Does anyone know why this is happening?"
I invite you to test our online demos as a proof that the problem does not occur with the latest version:

I'm getting the Ctrl-V message when pressing the toolbar  paste button in FireFox.  In IE I get the "Do you want this webpage to access the clipboard..... TWICE.  I'm using 2009.3.1103.

Hi,

It is not possible to execute the Paste command in Firefox / Chrome / Safari / Opera with client script due to security reasons. For that reason the editor warns the user to use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste the content.
The Paste from Clipboard with script feature is supported only by Internet Explorer.

As to the second behavior: It is  Internet Explorer that throws the  "Do you want this webpage to access the clipboard?" message twice and ask the user whether to allow the paste operation. We do not control this browser feature.

All the best,
