Hi,

We're having issues with the paste from word on the Mac with both Safari and Firefox, especially if what's being pasted contains tables. The weird thing is that even though we're using paste from word, the window that comes up is the paste as html and that's probably part of the problem. Everything works fine on a windows PC using IE or Firefox, Safari on windows still has some problems.

Has anyone experience the same issues and if so, is there a work-around for it.

Thanks
Germano

Hi Germano,

Could you please open a support ticket and send a sample Word document and screenshots of the problem and of the expected behavior?

We will research the issue and see what is causing the problem.

Hi,

I don't think we have support and that's why I was using the forum. I can attach the file to this thread if you wish but it is a very simple test. I basically create a simple table in Word 2008 (2 rows by 3 columns), enter some text into each row and paste that into the editor. It first looks OK but as soon as I go into HTML preview and back to edit mode I get a whole bunch of zeros.

Hi Germano,

We tried to reproduce the reported problem using the latest Safari and Firefox browsers on MAC but without success. We used Command + V shortcut as well as the editor Paste from Word buttons but the problem did not arise. You can see the test in the attached video.

I just want to add that the paste process is controlled by the browser and MS Word and the editor does not change the pasted content.
