We too are concerned about the lack of an explanation of how to handle the collapse of a group in a paged grid. We've seen several references to dynamically updating the paging but are unsure exactly how to perform this.
We're about to decide between the Telerik and DevExpress controls - for several reasons we prefer the Telerik controls, but currently the DevExpress grid's handling of collapsed groups is driving us to use them. Not getting a general solution (or a fix/change to the standard behaviour) will prevent us from sticking with Telerik.

Hi Mark,
Indeed we are aware of this limitation of our RadGrid control and have this paging with grouping improvement logged for future implementation as this will make nice addition to RadGrid's current variety of features. However, at this point we cannot commit to an exact timeframe when this improvement will be incorporated into the control's source code.
