Is there any way of showing an appointment over the top of another one e.g. 5 - 10 pm (blue) shown with 6 - 8 pm (red) drawn on top so that the red one can be seen to have a higher priority than the blue one.

Hi Ventnor,

You can apply different styles for appointments as shown in this topic, but you cannot display them one on top of another.

Hi Peter,

Is the ability to display overlapping appointments something that the development team is still considering implementing. I know we were asking about functionality a year ago (during the Q2 2008 version) and were informed that there was a need to research changes related to rendering to support this. is there any update on this?

Thanks,

Hello Paige,

Do you have a mockup of the desired functionality. I just need to be sure that I understand your request correctly before I forward it to our development team.

In the attached picture I have shown the standard behaviour with 3 side-by-side appointments and the desired behaviour with the same 3 appointments overlapping in a given order.

When the appointments overlap it should be possible to specify the order in which they overlap and be able to edit those which are underneath (assuming you can see enough of the appointment to get some kind of handle on it for editing).

Thank you for the additional info. Our developers reviewed your request, but we won't be able to implement such a feature any time soon.
