I need to create a menu in which only the top level contains images. But I can't seem to style it up properly. I really want to collapse the upper level (as when you set skin="") but want the drop downs styles. The biggest problem is the space around the images. Is there an easy was to handle this or am I going to have to learn skin editing?

Hello Stephen,
This can be easily done, could you just tell us what skin you intend to use, so we can help you?
Kind regards,

Thanks, that's working great and giving me a better understanding of how to manipulate these objects.

How can this be done using dynamic, database-driven text on the sub-menus? Thank you.

Hello Brad,
You can subscribe to ItemDataBind event and set the ImageUrl and HoveredImageUrl properties of the root items in its handler.
