On every tab selection the page reloads itself, and data chaged in the texbox is lost

Hi,
I am new to web development and this one may sound little foolish...

I am having multiple tabs. Each tab is populating some labels and textboxes with values from the object properties. After I change some of the values in one tab and go to nex tab, it reloads the page causing the loss of changed data, and when I come back to 1st tab I find the orignal populated values and not the one modified by me.

Please suggest how to avoid this.

Also if I want to refresh the data for a single tab only, to my defaults how to achieve it easily?
