Hi
All - I have the need to display PDF, TIFF, and JPG in a WPF app. I do not know ahead of time which file type the client will choose to display. Will the Telerik PDF Viewer or Image Editor components help? If not, which? I don't need advanced capability, just to display the image, although zoom would be nice.
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,
You can indeed use RadImageEditor for JPG files and RadPdfViewer for PDF files. When it comes to TIFF, the format is currently not supported. This is already in our to-do list, but it's currently not scheduled and I cannot engage with a particular time-frame for its availability. You can track our progress on the matter here.
In the meantime, RadImageEditor is highly extensible and you can create your own format provider as explained in this article and demonstrated in this blog post.
I hope the provided information is helpful! Let us know I you need further assistance.
All the best,

Do you currently have a example of how to import TIFF into the rad image editor? The blog post above doesn't work.

Hi Jim,
I'm afraid we don't have such an example at hand. I'm also not sure whether you are having troubles with the demo attached to the blog post or finding the post itself, so here is the correct link: Under the Hood of RadImageEditor for Silverlight and WPF.
Also, we are evaluating the need for a TIFF Viewer control, so if that is something you would find useful please follow the following item in our public portal: TIFF Viewer.

I see the public portal item now shows "approved". Which release is this scheduled for?

Hello Alan,
The Approved status in our public portal means we believe a feature request will be a nice addition to the suite and will consider it for a future release. A TIFF viewer control is not included in the roadmap for our next major release and I cannot say when it will be implemented. I would suggest subscribing to the public item so you're notified of updates and status changes.
