    Hello,

We are using Telerik ASP.NET AJAX controls for our products and very satisfied with them. Hiowever while undergoing MSOCAF certification for Microsoft Online we found out that Telerik Telerik.Web.UI dll gives a lot of errors when analyzed by MSOCAF tool. Microsoft requires that all 3-rd party tools were MSOCAF certified. Do you have a MSOCAF certified version or any document with these error justifications?

    Thank you,

    Irene

    Hi Irene,

Indeed, the suite does not pass CAF validation (although all warnings are false positive) because the controls are not designed according to the CAF guidelines. Unfortunately, rewriting them to conform to CAF would be a major task that will possibly introduce a lot of breaking changes. This is why we will not proceed towards that direction for now. However, if you send us the error report, we can try to prepare error justification document, should this be enough to get MSOCAF certification.

    Hello,

I am happy to announce that due to the high interest for having MSOCAF compliant build we have resolved all errors and Telerik.Web.UI now passes validation. The first official release that contains these improvements is Q3 2012. As always, should you face any difficulties or have any questions regarding the MSOCAF validation don't hesitate to drop us a line. :)

    Kind regards,
