[Solved] Maintaining Projects using Mutiple Telerik Versions

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to deal with the need to maintain past releases of our web application built with previous versions of Telerik.

From a deployment standpoint there is no problem - the Telerik DLLs can just be kept in the bin directories.

My question relates to the Visual Studio toolbox on the development machine. If I install a newer version, VS is updated with the latest Telerik controls. Will this cause problems if I open a website built using an older version?

Hi,

The new controls in the toolbox will not interfere with your work on existing web sites. If you drag controls with different version from the toolbox Visual Studio will ask you if you want to replace the assemblies or not.

Thanks. I was hoping that was the case but was afraid to risk hosing my dev box to test the theory.
