Hello,

I'm trying to understand how JQuery licensing works for commercial products, specially for Telerik applications and applications using RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX set of controls.

From JQuery License statement I understand one can choose either MIT or GPL Licenses when using the library.

  1. Does it mean Telerik uses JQuery library under MIT license to make free commercial use of the library without inheriting GPL license considerations?
  2. Should JQuery licensing be a concern to RadControls users?

Thanks ahead for helping me to figure this out,

Best regards,

Maria

Hello Maria,

Yes, we are using the MIT license of jQuery. It has almost no restrictions and RadControls customers can use it in their apps as well.

All the best,
