Hello
I'm building up my web application using RadRibbonBar.
I have a question that can RadRibbonBar collapse and expand like the one in Office 2010?
Because the ribbon bar seems to take a lot of space...

Hi Thanh Dang,
Currently RadRibbonBar does not support collapsing/expanding and our future plans do not include the implementation of such a feature, yet.

hello
I am surprised to see this feature is not planned, can you give us more details, is it difficult to do ? (when i see the complexity of the other controls it seems not that difficult)
For my applications, it is a requirement, the height of the control is too big and take too much place.
Is it possible to have a work around, can we implement it in javascript ?

Hi Sebastien,
The feature is planned for the Q1 2012 release, however we might need to postpone it for the Service Pack. Please follow the PITS item I linked to for any updates.

is there a way to add some javascript to do it manually on the existing version of telerik, our clients pushes us a lot to have this feature ?

Hi Nicolas,
I've attached a small sample page with a client solution for the Expand/Collapse feature. The solution is tested to work with the latest version of the controls.
Please keep in mind that this is only a temporary workaround and is meant only to point you in the right direction. We will implement the complete Expand/Collapse functionality in the upcoming Q2 release.
