Hello daw,

Generally, if you implement client-side binding for your RadGrid instance through a web service as presented in the following resources:

http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/client/declarativedatabinding/defaultcs.aspx
http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/client-side-binding.html

http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/client/livedata/defaultcs.aspx

There should be no difference whether the grid resides inside RadSplitter instance or not.

Is it possible that some javascript errors on the page prevent the grid from being populated when it is indside the splitter? Check that and let us know what your findings are.
