Hi,

Encountered some problems, but unable to find any places mentioning it.
Following the steps below:
1) Using RadEditor, insert an image, then right click select "Image Map Editor", select a spot and linking it to external site. (No problems for this)
2) Insert 2nd image, then right click, *Now it does not show properties/image map editor option at all.

As mentioned in point 2, right click will only show Save Picture As..., E-mail Picture... etc instead of Properties..., Image Map Editor.

From a few tries, i found out that once an image used "Image Map Editor", the next image will not have the option to choose "Image Map Editor".
For example...
1) Insert 5 image, all will show "Image Map Editor" when right clicked. choose any of the images and set the Image Map Editor. Insert new image and right click, same problem appeared. The existing 5 images remained no problem, only any further added images will encounter this problem.

Please advise. Thanks.

Hi ZX,

I tried to reproduce the reported problem but without success. Could you please see my test in the following  video: http://screencast.com/t/ROxu5EmQD and let me know what I am missing?

It will be helpful to show us how to reproduce the issue, by recording a video with Jing or another screen capture tool and send it for examination.

Kind regards,

Hi admin,

Thanks for your reply, forgot to mention one extra step...

- add image, right click image map editor, set the link, as shown in your screencast correctly
- secondly, for example press enter, insert next image, which will be below the first image (this step was not mentioned sorry)
- then right click image map editor, you should be able to get the same thing as my image attached previously.

For my case if the image is side by side,i have no problem, but if next line, it would be same as the attached image previously.
Using sharepoint moss site.

Thanks,

Oh and to add on, you can try another step below

1) add image, right click set link
2) save and exit edit mode
3) go back into edit mode and press "enter" for next line to add 2nd image
4) right click see if you get the problem...

Hello ZX,

The problem is only reproducible when linking the image and saving the content. Next time when you load the editor and click after the image (in our test the image is the only visible element in the content area) the selection is set inside the <map> tag and you will insert the new image in the map tag. This is a browser behavior similar to that you cannot click outside of a table inserted in an empty editor in Firefox.

What you can do is to manually switch to HTML mode and add a &nbsp; entity after the image tag or attach to the OnClientLoad event of RadEditor, check whether the loaded HTML contains a single image and map tag and add a &nbsp; after the image. Since this is a very specific scenario we do not plan to handle it in the RadEditor's source code.

All the best,
Rumen
