Hi.

I have a page use masterpage, and in ContentPlaceHolder, partial content is included by a ajaxpanel.
When I browser this file, IE become not responding.
IE Version: 8.0 RC1

I tried following scenarioes:
1. Not all postback cause problem, only a particular linkbutton will.
2. Use IE compatibility mode.
Result: The same problem
3. Use Chrome.
Result: No problem
4. Not use masterpage, and put all content of ContentPlaceHolder in aspx file
Result: No problem
5. Use masterpage, but ajaxpanel include the whole ContentPlaceHolder Control
Result: No problem

How can i figure the problem out? Any idea?
Thank you very much!:)

Herbert

Hello Herbert,

Can you send us the markup for the master and the content pages? Thus I could see what your page and RadAjax configuration is and try finding what could cause the unexpected behavior.

Thank you in advance for the cooperation.

Sincerely yours,

Hello ajit,

Could you please try updating to the latest version of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX and see if it makes any difference. I assume the issue is solved there because since April 2008 many improvements are made for the controls to behave better in IE8.

Greetings,

Hi Iana,

I had Version: Q1 2008 (Apr 15, 2008) for ASP.NET controls, When we go to my telerik account we cannot find from where we update my current version of ASP.net controls.

So could you please provide me link for update or some step from where we can update all ASP.NET controls.

It will be very helpful, so that it can work fine with IE 8.0

Thanks in advance.

Hello Ajit,

I checked your account and it seems that your subscription has already expired. In order to obtain the latest versions of our controls, you will need to consider an upgrade. The options are listed on the following page on our site:

http://www.telerik.com/purchase.aspx

If this is not possible at this point, consider switching the compatibility mode to IE7 to ensure that the pages will be rendered as expected. Keep in mind that we announced full support for RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX under IE8 with the Q1 2009 SP1 release of the suite.

Best regards,
Sebastian
