Hi Mathieu,
Have you checked the Visual Style Builder tool?
It provides an easy way for changing colors and creating custom skins.
Best wishes,

Hi Mathieu,
We are not quite sure what you are trying to achieve, but there are some certain rules you will have to follow in order to style any Telerik control. I suggest you first carefully review the controls' documentation, especially the following articles:
Controlling Visual Appearance - Overview
Controlling Visual Appearance - How skins work
Controlling Visual Appearance - Creating a custom skin
Controlling Visual Appearance - Modifying built-in skins
RadTabStrip - Appearance and Styling - Controlling Appearance
RadTabStrip - Appearance and Styling - Setting the CSS Class of Tabs
RadTabStrip - Appearance and Styling - Understanding the Skin CSS File
RadTabStrip - Appearance and Styling - CSS Skin File Selectors
In addition, as already suggested, you can try our new Visual Style Builder control to make your custom skin. In addition, once you're done with skin you will have to register it as described in this help article.
Best wishes,
Paul
