With HTML5 gaining so much popularity, are there any plans to incorporate HTML5 with RAD asp.net ajax controls in the up comming versions. So that the asp.net ajax controls would start utilizing the capabilities of html5, like html5 forms, hardware capabilities(SVG) and render tags all which would be supported by the executing browser. Waiting for your reply as a lot more depends on that.

Hi Mirang,
Our plans for HTML5 support in our ASP.NET AJAX controls are discussed in this forum thread. We already incorporated HTML5 features in our async upload and input controls, and plan to support HTML5 Canvas for the image editor in future release.
If you elaborate further on what HTML5 features you would like to see in our grid, treeview and scheduler components, we may contemplate them for next RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX releases.
Greetings,
Sebastian

Hello Mirang,
Thank you for your input.
In case you utilize the HTML5 inputs support of our RadInput, you will be able to utilize input validation in this sense. Additionally, the standard mode of our input and date picker controls also filter the user entries accordingly.
The grid, treeview and scheduler components support drag and drop and you can verify that on the relevant online demos of the controls. We will gradually incorporate CSS3 features in our AJAX controls with their upcoming versions.
