I need to mimic something i see in Excel spreadsheets often, where a group of columns has a single border surrounding the columns. It would be as if you could turn on vertical lines at the column level, and show a vertical line after column 5 and after column 10, thereby highlighting columns 6 through 10.

Or a better way to do it, would be to set styles at the cell level, because I know the next thing I'll be asked to do is to color all cells in that range. So if I could override the skin to set styles on a cell by cell basis, that would be perfect. Then I could set the background color, border-left and border-right as needed.

I have implemented the CSS overrides of style settings successfully, so I'll pursue this as an approach, but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Steve,

There is no HTML and CSS support for such a look for <table>s, so your only option is to apply styles on a cell basis, as you have already done.
