How can I call RadGrid collapse expand item in javascript?

For accessibility purposes, I need to change the collapse expand column to a custom template. How can I trigger that javascript from my own code?

Generally, you can use a GridExpandColumn, GridButtonColumn or GridTemplateColumn to do that automatically. I am also sending a sample RadGrid web site to demonstrate how you can achieve this requirement on an external action. Please run the attached application and let me know if it helps you.
