Hi everyone,
I’m working on a web application that uses Telerik components.
I have a JavaScript file that needs to interact with some UI elements on the page.
I’m currently loading the script separately rather than placing everything directly in the page. I’m trying to understand the recommended way to manage this setup. Are there any Telerik-specific considerations when loading external JavaScript?
So, I’m also interested in avoiding conflicts with scripts used by Telerik components. For example, I want the custom delta script to run only after the relevant component has finished initializing. Would using the component lifecycle events be the better approach?
I’d appreciate any practical examples from developers who have handled a similar setup. I’m mainly interested in keeping the implementation simple and maintainable.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Hi Stephen,
Could you please share which Telerik components suite you are using. I am asking as you shared web application but the question is submitted for the Telerik .NET MAUI product. Note that the Telerik .NET MAUI controls can be used for developing desktop and mobile apps.
Thanks for pointing that out. I'm referring to the .NET MAUI WebView control, which I'm using to load external JavaScript and interact with UI elements. I appreciate your clarification.
Hi Stephen,
MAUI WebView control is Microsoft MAUI control, not Telerik .NET MAUI control. If you have questions regarding the WebView, submit them to the .NET MAUI GitHub page: https://github.com/dotnet/maui
Here is the official WebView documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/maui/user-interface/controls/webview?view=net-maui-10.0&pivots=devices-androidor Microsoft Q&A -> https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/tags/247/developer-technologies-dotnet-dotnet-maui
