Hello there,

i recently tried the grouping features of the telerik radgrid. I noticed that when collapsing a group of large date a text is written  in the upper part of the grid "grouping continues on the next page" and the rest of the grid is empty. I think this is not a normal group behaviour because if a collapse a group on a page there should be the collapsed group (with aggregates) and the the beginning of the next group (expanded).

Expanded:

Group1
 a
 b
 c
Group2
 d
 e
 f

First collapsed:

Group 1 :  5 items, 12 €
Group 2
 d
 e
 f

Hi,

I have reviewed this online demo and notice that it covers the required behavior. I think it works as expected.

Hello Petar,

you need to try it with more data. The example has only 5-10 Items in grouped mode. If you have about 100 items in the first group you can see that the user will have no chance to get to the second group. Another thing is that in collapsed mode the aggreations are not displayed.

It's only a suggestion you might discuss.

Hi Matthias,

If I understand you correctly, you need your collapsed group header item to aggregate all grouped items, regradles of how many grid pages the group spans.

Unfortunately, RadGrid does not support this scenario, as items are expanded/collapsed on the page level only.
