We have a custom RadGrid on a tabbed page that locks the plus/minus image buttons in the footer as well as the first column with an edit pencilso that even when tabbing through the row, you can still edit or add a record. When tabbing through the fields, the dummy scroll bar causes issues and half the "FrozenColumn" disappears. I saw that this was addressed in the Unsupported Scenarios section of http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/grid-frozen-columns.html but have you addressed this further than the Javascript workaround?

Thanks,

Joe

Hi Joe,

Currently the workaround described in the help topic you are referring to is what could be used for tabbing through TextBox controls in scenarios with frozen columns and InPlace edit mode. I am afraid that there is no other workaround available.

I understand that there are no other workarounds, and that this is an unsupported scenario, I am wondering if Telerik had posted an example in their KB section or had any other pointers for the JavaScript hack, because it does not seem to be working and as a requirement we need to have the first column + header/footer buttons static as a requirement for our customer.

Hello Joe,

I am afraid that currently there is no such code-library. As this is a scenario that is not supported out of the box it would require a custom implementation that is up to the developers working on the project.
