[Solved] Forcing fields to enter values in Grid Insert/Update

Hi All,

How can i force user to enter values in to the fields in Insert/Update.

Like Showing a message box with message which fields are empty.

Please help me regarding this.

Hi Praveen,

You can use Form Template EditForm with RequireFieldValidator for ensuring whether he user entered values in the fields.

Also checkout the following demo which shows how to implement validation for controls placed in EditItemTemplate.
