Export to Excel xlsm format

I have the below Visual Basic .net code to export data from a RadGrid to Excel.
 

RadGrid1.MasterTableView.ExportToExcel()

However, the data has an .xlsm extension. 

Are additional settings required?

I've just tried our online demos however for both Excel and ExcelML the extension is "xls".
